5 Letter Wordlist (5LWL) is a fast, no-nonsense tool for finding five letter words playable in Wordle.
We built it because every other word list site is slow, bloated with ads, and stuffed with words that Wordle doesn't even accept. This site only shows words that the game will actually let you type in. No extras, no fluff.
Every word on this site is pulled from Wordle's actual word list — 12,947 playable words in total. Of those, 2,309 are confirmed answer words (the ones that can actually be the solution). The rest are accepted guesses that the game recognises but won't use as the daily answer.
Confirmed answers are shown first on every page, separated from accepted guesses, so you can focus on what matters.
No frameworks. No database calls. No waiting around. Every page is pre-built static HTML — the word list is already in the page when it loads. Filtering happens instantly in your browser. That's it.
The New York Times owns Wordle and can update the word list whenever they want. If we become aware of changes, we'll update the site. If you spot a word that's been added or removed, let us know.
